What We Believe
The covenant to which the members of this church shall subscribe is contained in the following statement.
Having been led by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and on profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we do now, in the presence of God and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one in the body of Christ.
We agree by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love, to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge and fellowship, to promote its growth and spirituality, to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines, to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the financial support of the ministry, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel though all nations.
We also agree to maintain family and private devotions, to diligently educate our children in spiritual truth, to seek the salvation of our families and acquaintances, to be just in our dealings, to be faithful in our engagements and exemplary in our behavior, to avoid all things that would impair our bodies, minds, and influence or would in any way diminish our witness for Christ.
We moreover agree that when we move from this place we will unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God's Word.
